Picturing Joy in an old black and white photograph
One of my favorite photos of my mom on the beach in Miami, in 1966.
Her name was Joy. She passed away two years ago, but she left many great memories and funny stories.
Most of all, she was the strongest woman I’ve ever known, with a heart of gold.
She raised three children and one grandchild on a modest salary. She taught me how to be resourceful and how to survive during tough times. I am so grateful for that.
