Old Family Photos Take Us Back to a place where we ache to go again

“This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards; it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It’s not called the wheel, it’s called the carousel.” ~Don Draper, describing the Kodak Slide Projector.

Mom, 1960s. Having been born in Sumatra, Indonesia, my Mom had a natural love affair with the South Pacific.

Lucky for me, she also had a love for documenting our family’s travels and a true photographer’s eye for composition.

There’s nothing better than digging through her old boxes of Kodachrome slides and being teleported to a distant place and time. ~shared by @brewerscott
