Some See an Old Photo, We See a Beautiful Story Worth Remembering
Some may see an old photo. We see a story.
The young girl on the left is my Gran, Mima, circa 1925. She would have been 15 when this picture was taken.
She loved theatre and being on the stage in amateur productions. She was always cast as a boy because she was tall.
She didn’t pursue an acting career because her first love was actually her piano. She played for the silent movies and for the Scottish Ballet.
In later life, she played for local ballet groups and toured around old folks homes with my aunt who is an opera singer.
I’ve no doubt she still plays her piano way up there in the sky! ~shared by @awr.edinburgh
