Why I’m Glad my Grandma Hired a Professional Photographer for her Wedding

This photo is of my grandma, Mary Virginia Linck, and her mother, Mabel Cook, on my grandma’s wedding day on October 2, 1948.

I love the adoration in my great grandmother’s eyes as she watches as her oldest daughter prepare for the biggest day of her life.

I also love the smile on my grandma’s face as she finishes off her look with a tiara, and the oval mirror perfectly frames the scene. Such a special moment caught with one click of a shutter.

We don’t have many pictures of my grandma when she was young, and my grandma’s family didn’t have a lot of money, but I’m grateful that they hired a professional photographer to capture such amazing pictures from this day.

My grandparents went on to have 5 kids, 9 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, and counting!

They lived long enough to celebrate 60 years of marriage in 2008, and their legacy will continue to live on in all of their kids and grandkids. ~shared by @torrepinson
