She is holding her most prized possession: her doll Cora, a gift from an aunt who had emigrated to America. We still have the doll.

I have always loved this photo; it looks like she’s ready to take on the entire world at the age of two.

Sadly, I never met her, but thanks to all the wonderful photos we have, her presence has been strong in my life.

I’m getting married in August and her wedding ring will become my wedding ring. I only hope I will look half as good in my wedding photos as she does here! ~shared by @heidi_anett_
